Semi Permanent make up is big business and sadly for some a big mistake. With laser removal, tattoos and semi permanent make up can be removed or faded enough for a cover up that need not be larger or darker. Laser removal is the only guaranteed, safe and effective way to remove whilst maintaining your skins optimum health.
Our Q switch laser delivers a high powered beam of laser light in extremely short pulses which is absorbed by the tattoo’s ink particles. These particles once broken down into smaller pieces, enables your natural immune defences to absorb the ink and leave the body by your lymphatic drainage system. Gradual fading of the tattoo occurs over a series of treatments. Most patients describe the feeling similar to the flick of an elastic band or hot pinprick. Whilst mildly uncomfortable most tolerate it well and skin cooling is applied to minimise any discomfort. Most people are suitable for the treatment, quickest results are those with a healthy immune system to break down the pigment. An in-depth consultation is always required to ascertain each individuals suitability.
This of course depends on a variety of factors. Amateur tattoos are relatively quick to remove, between 1 to 6 treatments. Professional Tattoos vary, those that are denser, aged and some coloured tattoos can take up to 15 treatments with treatments spaced between 6-10 weeks apart. A course is always required but remember we can also fade a tattoo sufficiently for either a cover up (no need to cover an existing tattoo with an even larger one) or until you are happy with your desired result.
